Senior Resident Inspector

Incumbent serves as the lead NRC inspector at assigned plant. In this capacity, the individual conducts inspections to ensure licensee compliance with the provisions of NRC licenses, regulations, and orders. Performs in-depth evaluations of incidents and abnormal conditions, determining the safety significance of each event, recommending enforcement action, and preparing reports of inspection findings and detailed licensee performance assessments. Incumbent represents the NRC to the licensee, state and local officials, and the news media. Provides technical and programmatic leadership to a small staff by coordinating and managing their work, and reviewing and evaluating technical findings and conclusions. In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes experience that demonstrates a variety of relevant professional engineering disciplines (e.g., nuclear, electrical, mechanical, metallurgical, structural, chemical) in the industries of nuclear power and/or nuclear materials. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
