Control Systems Engineer

The person hired for the position of Control Systems Engineer will be a site based technical resource responsible for providing effective control system solutions for a wide variety of new or existing automated process control equipment that is used to manufacture 3M products. Specific responsibilities include the specification, design, integration, and start-up/commissioning of control technologies. These control technologies include digital and analog systems, human machine interfaces, data acquisition, PID and DCS controls. Work also includes emphasis on hardware design and installation drawings as well as using familiarity with DCS control systems multi-controller communication, and safety design to assign i/o and develop programming scope. For additional business group/division/product information, please visit: https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/plant-locations-us/cordova/ This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.      Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Control systems architecture scope development and design Control systems cost estimating and schedule development Hardware performance and design criteria specifications Engineering drawing development, including P&IDs PLC/HMI programming / develop written programming scope Managing outsourced resources (i.e. programmers) Systems integration Machine and systems commissioning, start up and check-out Assist in the implementation of site specific safety programs Basic Qualifications: Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in a technical or engineering discipline from an accredited university Minimum three (3) years of control systems design and commissioning experience in a private, public, government or military environment Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology Minimum five (5) years of control system design and commissioning experience Experience with Emerson DeltaV controls systems, hardware, and programming Process instrument specification (pressure, level, temperature, flow, etc.) Understanding of hazardous area classifications and intrinsic safety system design and installation Familiarity with NPFA 70, 496 and 497 Experience with low voltage motor control design and specification Experience with AutoCAD Strong oral and written communication skills Team player with the ability to positively contribute in a matrix environment Demonstrated project leadership skills R00935626

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
