Location: Cordova, IL
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Tech Support Specialist for one of our clients in the Cordova, IL. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Technology Support Technicians provide hands-on floor support for incidents and service requests that are escalated from the IT Service Desk at each of the locations
  • Provide second and third level desktop support for desktop hardware and software
  • Complete and close incidents and services requests in a timely manner
  • Update incidents and service requests within agreed response times
  • Keep coworkers informed of the status of their tickets
  • Ensure follow-up is performed
  • Meet all productivity and quality goals as measured by the department
  • Participate in deployments and hardware refreshes
  • Follow all asset management guidelines and procedures
  • Provide back-up support for the IT Service Desk
  • Create and submit knowledgebase documentation
  • Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Analytical skills and the ability to solve problems
  • Ability to quickly learn about new technology and keep pace with an ever-changing industry
  • Ability to assemble, disassemble and troubleshoot computer equipment
  • Ability to communicate with coworkers at all levels in the organization as well as external parties
  • Demonstrate ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (0-33% of the workday) and 11 to 25 pounds of force rarely (0-12% of the workday)
  • The team lift system must be utilized for loads weighing more than 50 pounds
  • Demonstrate ability to push and pull up to 25 pounds of force rarely (0-12% of the workday)
  • Demonstrate ability to perform eight or more hours of standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping and carrying products in combination at any given time
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment which includes changes in temperature as weather fluctuates, noise from conveyors and forklifts
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • A certification or an equivalent combination of education and a minimum of two years of experience with the ability to demonstrate knowledge
  • Network Certification 3rd Certification (Server , Security , etc.)
  • Preferred Qualifications for Internal Applicants only:
  • Worked in Internal Services for a minimum of 6 months or equivalent


    Don't Be Fooled

    The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
